Event Description

In the church we are forever discussing ‘good teaching’ but when was the last time you heard a discussion about ‘good learning’?

Brought to you by Spring Harvest, King’s College London and Paternoster Publishing, Walk This Way is a day conference which will explore how Jesus taught and how we learn. Featuring some of the country’s leading theologians, thinkers and educationalists, programme highlights include:

How Did Jesus Really Teach? Featuring Prof Richard Bauckham, one of the world’s leading New Testament Theologians on how Jesus taught.

How Do We Really Learn? Featuring Prof John West-Burnham, a leading authority and pioneer in personalised learning and the role of education in society.

What Next? Dr Rebecca Nye will bring a totally different dynamic to the day as she invites us to get involved in Godly Play, whilst Prof Alister McGrath will look at how we can take learning to new levels in local church.

Walk This Way is sure to provide Christians and church leaders with a unique opportunity to re-imagine what it means to learn the faith, to hear about a learning revolution that has taken place in schools and to consider how we approach learning in our churches and junior church.

To book your place simply call 01825 769000 or register online at www.springharvest.org/walkthisway. Access to the conference is just £15, including a complimentary copy of the theme book, usually retailing at £9.99.

The conference will take place between 9am and 5pm on 31 January 2009 at King’s College London, Strand campus.
