I am currently in discussions with Scripture Union about possibly setting up a residential holdiay for 8-11's in suffolk next year. What do you think? Have you any ideas and suggestions ? Would you like to come on team or know someone who would

Hiya Paul
There is already "sizewell christian camps" that runs during the summer hols. At the moment most of the local kids go to that.
Have you got something in mind. what are your plans

Thanks for reply.

I am aware of Sizwell camp belive that the junior one only runs from year 5, which is approx 10 years old. We are looking like a lot of teh SU primary holidays at 8-11 years old enabling younger kids to come to. Also, we are looking at using boarding school accomodation rather than tents (not all 8-11 year olds want to camp) so what we hope to do is different.

Plans are still in their infancy at this stage - I am meetng with Hannah, SU's holidays cororidnator this week but the are keen in princple. It will be a general holoday with lots of activities, teaching, worship, trips out and so on. I helped for about 8 years on anopther SU holiday so have had quite a bit of expereince in them.

Sounds great. You are right, Sizewell starts at year 5 and is at the first two weeks of hols.
I will ask around to see if we have anyone interested in getting involved.
