Every Child Matters- how Christian children's workers can meet the targets

How do Christian children's workers meet the five aims of Every Child Matters and how do we show that the work we do in secular society is essential to our chidlren's growth?

Does anyone have any thoughts here? Surely if all of education, social care and health are using the five outcomes as an outline for their work with children, isn't there a way the church can as well? ECM provides a great framework for providing a balanced approach to caring for/providing for children in a way which can impact the future of society. Even if our churches can't or don't feel it's appropriate to work across all five outcomes, understanding how what we do fits within them can help us to speak the same language as the agencies we work alongside.

How does evangelism fit into the ECM outcomes? Well I believe evanglism is the missing link in a sense. ECM provides a holistic approach but the emphasis in non-christian provision for children is on respecting the faith/traditions/culture of the child.

So how can we buy into what is already a good thing in out communities, and make God and intergral part through appropriate child evangelism?
Being Healthy
Staying Safe
Enjoy and Achieve
Make a positive contribution
Achieve economic wellbeing.

It may be that whatever we are doing can easily be grouped under some of the ECM headings. But how else can we use them?
