Children’s Ministry Changes at Kidz Klub Slough

We are writing to inform you of some changes we are about to make in the children’s ministry at King’s
Church International, based in the Thames Valley. We thought it might be useful to communicate these
changes as you may have been wrestling with similar challenges.
We have been thrilled at how God has helped us since launching Kidz Klub in 2001. We have seen:
o Over 5,000 children have attended
o Our bus routes have grown steadily from 2 to 7
o 1,000 children have been visited every week
o 250 to 300 children have attended each week
o Many kids have become part of our church youth
o Several families have joined the church
o Many kids ministries from across the UK have visited
In our opinion Kidz Klub is the best children win strategy there is. In 2006 we
saw the need to build upon this win strategy with a robust discleship stategy
involving Kidz Cells. We have found these groups highly successful with children
benefiting greatly from the more personal attention and care.
Parents have seen positive behavioural changes, children have grown significantly in their understanding
of Christian living and excellent friendships have been formed. As big and exciting as Kidz Klub has been
it is through Kidz Cells that we have been most able to provide the support & care that children need in
order to face the challenges before them.
Following the success of Kidz Cells, we have decided to put a lot more effort
into developing and building these groups going forward. Therefore, in order
to advance the children’s ministry and take it to the next level we will be
launching more weekly Kidz Cells and will move Kidz Klub from being every
Saturday to a brand new look and feel monthly event!! With a new logo too!
We will also be making improvements to our Sunday morning Kidz Church event by
introducing many of the elements of Kidz Klub and providing transportation for all
ages.
This change does not represent a break from the Kidz Klub network or model which Frontline Church,
Liverpool have pioneered. But is rather building upon the success that Kidz Klub has provided us and
advancing us to the next level. I hope you find this explanation of our changes useful and I wish you every
success in your on going commitment to the children of our nation.
God bless & with much love
