Children looking for a better world!
I have just been made aware of an amazingly talented young singer who seems to have a great grasp on the issues our world faces.
We set-up the Portia's Song Competition, see below, to help promote young people thinking more about the world they live in, the poor, the hungry and the dispossessed. It's great to know that others are keen on the message too!

I hoping that children's workers like you will be inspire to join the challenge and then encourage other individuals, families and church congregations to sign-up to take on the challenge too!!! Then you can encourage each other to keep going and sing or quote the verses to each other. Some people have even started a ‘Sponsor me to learn 52 Bible Verse’s in 2012’. Please don’t forget to forward this to your friends and encourage them to learn 52 key Bible Verses too!
I plan send an email with a link to that weeks Bible Verse so you can listen and learn on-line. This is all free! I also plan to put the songs on my You tube channel and ask people to subscribe as it's easy and free to for me to load my songs on there and You-Tube will automatically send the new songs to people who have subscribed to my channel (so less work for me). http://www.johnhardwick.org.uk/general/bbvc
Why learn Bible Verses? This year we remember the 400 years of the King James version / Bible in translated into English! Many people like William Tyndale gave their lives to give us the Word of God - we owe it to then to treasure this life changing book!
Also the Bible say's "devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture" 1 Timothy 4:13.
"All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It straightens us out and teaches us to do what is right. It is God's way of preparing us in every way, fully equipped for every good thing God wants us to do." - 2 Timothy 3:16-17
"For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart." - Heb. 4:12
"He must always keep this copy of the law with him and read it daily as long as he lives. That way he will learn to fear the Lord his God..." - Deut. 17:19
I Could go on - but it's clear that GOD WANTS US TO.
There are many different themes like verses on Prayer, Something New, God's promises, God is awesome, God's love etc!
