Have you had any formal training for your role
I worked as a musician, then as a primary school teacher several years ago. Apart from that its been pretty much on the job!

Birmingham
What church denomination do you belong to
Vineyard - I work for Vineyard Network Church Birmingham.
What type of work with children are you involved in
Church based children's ministry: Working with my wife Jo, we have been leading the 0-11's teams in our church since 1995.
Community & Schools: I teach in the local primary school promoting positive values and have been involved in starting and running a number of after school & holiday kids clubs..
Worship: I have lead children's and all age worship for even longer & over the years have written songs for kids to sing in churches, schools, clubs and at home and helped to produce the Great Big God series of worship CD's.
Family: We have three fantastic kids of our own which as you can imagine is a full time job in itself with amazing challenges and rewards.

I'm part of x:site Birmingham which is led by a comitted and passionate local team.
I also co-ordinate a Children's Task force for Vineyard Churches UK with some fantastic people from across the UK. We are looking at how to help develop great children's ministry across the 100 or so UK Vineyard churches and church plants.

I have led seminars on most aspects of children work and especially on kids worship. I'm especially passionate about equipping others to work with kids in a longer term sustainable way!

Announcing... Great Big God - the DVD!

So it's 3 years after the last Great Big God albums came out and we're in the planning process for our first ever GBG DVD. We're planning an all singing, all dancing live music extravaganza which should capture the essence of a GBG event so anyone can join in from the comfort of their living room.
