Dave, Thanks for setting up this site and for giving us the opportunity to network with other chldrens workers. As a newie I hope to learn lots!
Have you been involved with auditing childrens work? If so, is it just a case of designing your own tool or are there guidelines out there? I have offered to help audit the childen work at our church's away day on 25h Nov.and am wanting to involve the children understandably! but do I use symbols like happy and sad faces for the younger children to communicate their opinons and simple yes/no answers for the older child. Any advice greatly received!I have asked Andi but am not sure how to ask everyone without just leaving comments on their comment wall. I am not a computer whiz!!

Dear Dave,

Praise God that I have found your website. I am blessed to read materials for children's ministry as well as to learn from others about their experiences. I am also happy to share our experiences.
May God richly bless you and your family.

Blessings,

Febie

School chaplains on the increase

The number of dedicated school chaplains has increased by 25% in five years, fuelled by increasing numbers of faith schools in the state sector, figures released by the Church of England show.

The rise of church-sponsored academies has prompted the surge in full-time chaplains, who provide pastoral support to staff and pupils. In 2005 there were 140 and today there are 173, and hundreds more part-time or unordained chaplains also work in schools.

Chaplains are typically involved in a school's… Continue

The study, by Prof David Jesson, from York University, said the conclusions ran directly counter to the view that religious schools were “divisive” and promoted segregation. But campaigners rejected the report, insisting it fail… Continue
