Okay so let's fill in the blanks on the missing four months! In the middle of May I drove down to Gosport to speak at Family Church - what a great bunch of people - it was a small church - lots of interest about Metro Ministries. At the end of May and into the first week of June Pastor Bill was over touring speaking in London and South Wales and Champions Church in Dudley. It was a really blessed trip and many kids were sponsored. Also in June I popped over to Sheffield to see the sidewalk sunday school truck in action there. Visit www.sidewalk.org.uk and see whats going on in Sheffield with Barry Johnston who completed the 4 month internship in New York at Metro and then came back - had such a vision for reaching the kids - bought an old Luton van and had it done up and converted into a sidewalk truck where the side of the van comes down and makes a stage - and now has two sites each week reaching kids in Sheffield. It was great to be there and see it in action and be part of it! In June I also joined a Business Mens Breakfast to get the word out about the ministry - starts at 7pm and is 40 mins away - so it's an early start but the motto for Metro is "Whatever it takes". I attended a Fundraising and Tax effective training day in Harrogate in July - I know that's exciting news for you guys eh! - but it's amazing how much money is out there to help and we don't know about it. In July also, I did a training day to teach my home church how to do Sidewalk Sunday School. We are all really excited about using the truck and getting out there to reach the kids. Last weekend I exhibited for Metro at Hollybush Family Camp in North Yorkshire and later on this month will be exhibiting at Grapevine. Life is very busy but I'm enjoying the journey! C'mon, we can really make a difference if we are willing to pay the price!
