Children are by far the most responsive group of people to the Gospel, but many are far outside the walls of our churches. Children are also the most neglected in terms of the strategic allocation of the church’s material resources and amount of time spent in evangelism and discipleship. All young people need to hear the Good News in their own language wherever they are.

Many children live in physical poverty, but countless more are spiritually deprived, including the vast majority of youth in affluent Western societies and the world’s middle-class populations. The technological proficiency of many young people has been recognised by secular media, which targets its messages toward youth via the Internet to earn a profit. However, Action International Ministries with whom I work as a missionary wants to use the Internet as an effective avenue for communicating the Gospel to children.

Let me know of any children's website initiatives you may know of or be involved in, whatever the target language.

Hi Harry,

I work for an organisation in Cape Town, and we mobilise faith-communities for mission. I am the coordinator of the Kidz Department. We have many discussions here about how we can use the internet to further our work. We have a policy of "giving away" what we know and have learned, in order to reach more. Would like to hear your thoughts on the internet thing. Our website is unfortunately currently under construction.

Hi Toelie,

I'm keen to know more about what you have done and are planning for children on the Internet. Have you looked at what we did on the www.hikidz.org pilot? I'll be on the road for the next 3 weeks but will follow emails and comments.
God bless,
Harry
