Harvest Festival address - ideas/pointers

Hi all!

It's midnight as I write this and I am ploughing through an essay but, I have in mind that I need to write the address for our school church service Monday am :o

I am fishing for ideas around which I could talk to 400 primary school children for 5-7 mins. It's the first time I have done this and I am really pleased to have been asked and fantastically, I am a "little" nervous ;)

I am sure that God will put something on me to say but, plan b is to ask you kind people for some one liner ideas....

I had in mind perhaps one of these:
Water, a resource to look after
Caring by giving, giving by not taking
Gods gift to us is our gift to others.

Anyway....any comments/ideas gratefully received...It's probably that it is late and I am tied up in Sign Graphs and Control Models but, I am just trying to offset the inevitable mad scramble on Sunday night.... ;)

This may be a really naff idea, and prob about 1/2 hour too late (unless it's next Monday?), but how about 'desgner gifts'?

Hi Janet and thanks for the comment. I picked it up after the service - church was packed with kids and adults and I literally threw rubbish out of the pulpit (long story!) but, I would LOVE to hear more about your idea of Designer Gifts....

What did you have in mind??? :)

Hehe, sounds like designer gifts and chucking rubbish out of the pulpit are pretty well exactly opposite lol! Great that the church was packed - sounds like u made an impact!

I was just thinking of all the incredible variety in the food we harvest - every one designed as a loving gift from our heavenly father to us . . .
