I'm giving a presentation TONIGHT on children's ministry. I wanted to give them the shocking statistic I heard recently about how many churches have NO CHILDREN what-so-ever ... problem is I can't remember what the figure is or where it came from!

Of course I could do what most people do and make up the statistic on the spot but my integrity says I should at least make an effort to be accurate.

Anyone know what it is?

Hi, this is way to late, but...

• In 1904 56% of children and young people went to church
• Today that figure has dropped to only 4%
• 39% of churches have no one under the age of 11
• 49% have no one between 11-14
• 59% have no one between 15-19
• 99% of children & young people are in school
• 80% of those who become Christians do so before the age of 18 (See Hayley’s story below)

Just ask him where he got it from!

Thanks Graeme. I was in the right ball park then with the figure I gave at the presentation (told them that I couldn't find the source at the mo!). I'll contact Wayne and ask what his sources were. Thanks for the details.
